embracing silliness

my son loves to be silly.  he loves laughter and laughing with others. sadly, i am sometimes "too busy" to stop and enjoy this sweet gift of his personality.  but, when i do, it is indeed, a pure gift.

it started with stickers on noses and picture taking at his request

there was lots of laughing in-between photos...

then we moved onto his paper elephant and guitar for noses...

it's amazing how wonderful it can be to laugh and enjoy the creativity and spontaneous fun of a child.  i sure need help remembering how much Jesus valued children and their hearts...and how unimpressed he probably is when i'm "too busy" to put my to do list away along with my serious-adult-face.  and all we needed were a few stickers, papers and one another.
