the advent conspiracy after christmas

now that christmas is over with, it's too easy for me to just put away all thoughts about the miracle of jesus' birth (and the challenge that comes with it) in a box with the christmas decorations...
but i've been so thankful for my bloggy friend ashley, who introduced me to the advent conspiracy over at her blog.  it has been a gift to follow along for the challenge this past season.  worshipping fully, spending less, giving more and loving all...

are you in?

i had the honor of doing a guest blog post today over at the world so sweet.  it's about my journey of conspiring this past advent with my own family.  check it out.  and keep up the conspiracy.

Hi, Tasha. I read your post and was really moved. A few years ago we thought we'd give monetary gifts in the names of our extended family to a Christian charity that provides for the welfare of families worldwide who are in desperate need. We found this didn't go over very well because they didn't think children understood charity as a form of showing tangible caring as opposed to toys, etc. So we haven't reached out to those in need anymore at christmastime. But I think there must be other ways at Christmas to do this and we will find ways because the commercialism really bothers me. So...thanks for the inspiration! And congratulations on the new baby!! :)
